[Tamar Yonah, Arutz Sheva interviewer] "What about people who, uh, masquerade as Jews, these are people who are really, uh, believers in Christianity. I've heard stories about people who have, uh, gotten a conversion to Judaism, ah, ah, legal and kosher conversion...
[Mark Powers, of Jews for Judaism] "Right."
[Tamar Yonah] "but underneathe they are still, ah, missionaries and they are infiltrating into the Jewish community whether it's in America or in Israel; uh, what is the purpose for this, because at some point, if they really want to get people to believe in Jesus, then they have to break their, break their cover and then everything that they worked for is gone. So how, how does this work?"
[Mark Powers, of Jews for Judaism] "Well, actually it's really interesting because you can't put everybody that's in that category in one specific little box. Several of them are doing it for different reasons. There's a, uh, group, for example, in Ra'anana that, ah, claims to be the authentic Jews and, uh, by the way, we're not authentic Jews, only they are – and, ah, they have, uh, what they call a tradition of being, uh, Jewish notzrim, you know, which, which you and I..."
Note: Mr. Powers lies blatantly. We have never even insinuated in the remotest terms, that the Jewish community aren't authentic Jews! That contradicts in the most audacious terms what the Netzarim have always stood for!
[Tamar Yonah interrupts] "that's Jewish Christian, uh..."
[Mark Powers, of Jews for Judaism] "which you and I would think is a contradiction but because they give it a Hebrew name, and because they don't call him Jesus they call him Yeshua, they're not necessarily breaking cover, and I've spoken with a number of people who got in, uh, involved with this particular group, who came to believe that the leader of this group could actually convert them to Judaism which they had to uh, which they had to have in order for them to be part of the group, and so he was giving these bogus conversions, and they've all got different agendas..."
Note: We don't call "him" Yeshua, we call Jesus - the Christian êlil (non-deity) - Yesh"u! Yesh"u is a Roman perversion historically documented to be the opposite of the historical Ribi. One cannot believe in both because they are intractably contradictory, polar opposites and mutually exclusive. To believe in one is to disbelieve in the other.
Moreover, we have always stated up-front that we DON'T have any involvement in conversions, AND that we leave conversions to Orthodox rabbis!!! We never have been involved in conversions, and we've never issued any conversion certificates of any kind. Require Mr. Powers to produce a copy of any such "conversion." He cannot. What I would expect from one so dedicated to misrepresentation is that he would produce a part of some certificate that we issue, attempting to make that appear to be some sort of conversion certificate. Require him to produce the complete document and you'll discover and expose his lies. I've personally contacted Mr. Powers and Jews for Judaism in the past, attempting to set the record straight on such matters. So it isn't that he doesn't know better. Truth has nothing to do with their fight. These are all DELIBERATELY misleading lies spread for no other reason than to poison people's minds against us, pure slander and lies.
Moreover, it raises the question about how many lies does he and Jews for Judaism fabricate about other organizations in order to keep their dirty little war going?
The Netzarim practice and teach Torah while Mr. Powers and Jews for Judaism practice leshon ha-ra, motzi shem ra and khilul ha-Sheim!
