The Soft Revolution, Part 2

From Rabbinate Back To Beit Din ha-Qâ•tânꞋ

The Little Known History of the Chief Rabbis

2012.03.08, 1030 The hierarchical organization of rabbis under one or more "Chief Rabbis" dates only from the late 15th century. While these were not, ever, at all compared to a nâ•viꞋ  (who, the rabbis maintained, had ceased), the structure elevating the "great rabbi" of the generation has no other remotely similar Judaic precedent other than the nâ•viꞋ  – in contrast to the Beit Din system that traces back all the way to Mosh•ëhꞋ  at Har Sin•ai (Pâ•râsh•âhꞋ  Yit•roꞋ ). Not only do Chief Rabbis contradict this Biblical Ha•lâkh•âhꞋ  (i.e., history), the concentration of power in one man both contradicts the Tal•mudꞋ  tradition of healthy debate within a corporate body, instituting the tyrannical dictatorship of one "great Chief Rabbi," and arrogates the Biblical halakhic role reserved exclusively for (Nәviy•imꞋ  and) the Mâ•shiꞋ akh.

"The office of Sephardi chief rabbi was recognized from the middle of the 19th century by the Ottoman authorities. The institution of two chief rabbis was given legal status by a British mandatory ordinance of 1920" (jewishvirtuallibrary.org; 2012.03.08). The Israeli Chief Rabbis are a Turkish, not Biblical or Halakhic, innovation!!! The modern Israeli –secular – government merely "grandfathered" them in.

The only authorities of Israel's Chief Rabbis are Turks and a secular human Israeli government, not Ha•lâkh•âhꞋ  / Tor•âhꞋ !!!

The Little Known History of the Sanhedrin

"The earliest record of a Sanhedrin is by Josephus who wrote of a political Sanhedrin convened by the Romans in 57 B.C.E." (jewishvirtuallibrary.org; 2012.03.08). This marked the Hellenization of the Bât•eiꞋ -Din system.

Aside from being a recent innovation of the Turks (!), Israel's two Chief Rabbis both represent only Europeanism (Eastern European Ash•kәnazꞋ im and Spanish Sәphârâd•imꞋ ).

There is no Chief Rabbi representing the original Middle East religion.

Soft Revolution First Step: Replace Dark Ages European Impediments

The current Chief Rabbis are Ultra-Orthodox kha•reid•imꞋ  whose uneducated (prohibiting science studies as evil), medieval, superstitious, imperial and tyrannical radical impositions would embarrass Beit Sha•maiꞋ  and are rejected and resented by 90+% of Israeli Jews, probably most Orthodox Jews and certainly most Jews world-wide. There is no future for Ultra-Orthodox control of "Judaism"! The only reason they rule is because the secular Israeli government keeps them in power for coalition partners so that the Israeli secular minority can continue to rule over Israel's Tor•âhꞋ -sympathizing "Traditionally Judaic" 80% majority! These Ultra-Orthodox throwbacks to medieval magic must be replaced by educated, compassionate, "kinder and gentler," modern-oriented, Beit Hi•leilꞋ  Orthodox rabbis.

Nothing can improve until this is achieved.

The Soft Revolution Transition

Simply incorporating one more Beit Hi•leilꞋ  Orthodox rabbi, making three instead of two, would lend itself to restoring the ancient Biblical and Halakhic Beit Din ha-Qâ•tânꞋ !

The absence of pristine, Middle East leadership over this restored Beit Din ha-Qâ•tânꞋ  can be easily remedied by requiring that the third rabbi be of the absolute most pristine tradition, which scholars agree are the Tei•mân•imꞋ , and that he serve as Rosh Beit Din.

This would complete the restoration of the Biblical Halakhic (Historical) Beit Din ha-Qâ•tânꞋ . Further, in addition to restoring the only Biblically-ordained system of authority, it would lead world Jewry to a "kinder, gentler" Tor•âhꞋ , sensitive as Beit Hi•leilꞋ  to societal pains like conversions, a•gun•otꞋ , etc., and assured to always be compatible with the latest science, technology and the most modern, contemporary and educated Jew – and a genuine Light to the goy•imꞋ .
