2001.07.27 – The 'Palestinian' public, as well as 'Palestinian' – and other – Muslim Ji•hâdꞋ Mu•jâ•hidꞋ, continue to justify all manner of terrorist atrocities under the banner of “liberation” from “occupation.”
Thus, terrorism is fueled, and justified in the eyes of the world, by media’s criminally
irresponsible, reckless and unprofessional begging the question that Israel is “occupying” Arab land. (Begging the question is faulty logic known as petitio principi and, therefore, is neither objective reporting nor professional journalism.)
If Israel isn’t occupying 'Palestinian' land then [a] 'Palestinian' justification of terror under the banner of “liberation” from “occupation” is seen to be a barbarian farce and [b] media reporting of Israel’s “occupation” is clearly not objective, unprofessional, biased against Israel and stemming from latent miso-Judaism.
A letter to the editor of The Jerusalem Post by David Medved of Yᵊru•shâ•laꞋyim hi-lites several pertinent historical facts that readers should save and file (along with Parts I & II in our archives section) for use in drafting complaints to offending media and reporters who continue to label Israel as an “occupier.”
Under the British Mandate, there were many Jewish settlements in the area referred to as the “West Bank,” including [Khë•vᵊr•onꞋ], Neveh Yaaqov, the Etzion Bloc, Kfar Darom and east [Yᵊru•shâ•laꞋyim]. They were systematically destroyed by the Arab armies in 1948, and the inhabitants massacred or forcibly transferred. The Jordan Legion, under the command of their British officers, blew up 59 synagogues in the Old City of [Yᵊru•shâ•laꞋyim] and desecrated a cemetery on the Mount of Olives, using gravestones as latrines. The entire area of Judea and Samaria was annexed by Jordan, but the annexation was recognized only by Great Britain and Pakistan.
'Palestine' disappeared from the map.
As a recent position paper by Foreign Minister Shimon Peres states, “…this territory was not under the sovereignty of any state and came under Israeli control in a war of self-defense…”
Therefore, the constant repetition of the 'Palestinian' Authority mantra “occupied 'Palestinian' lands” by the BBC’s [and other; ybd] reporters and commentators signifies either a total ignorance of this historical reality or a deep-seated, virulent anti-Semitism.”
The rationale that Muslim Ji•hâdꞋ Shâ•hidꞋ (suicide) bombings, lynchings and the like are justified by the “logic” of an Arab-Muslim “Resistance” having some “moral right” to shoot and blow up Israeli “Occupiers” – and any Israeli self-defense action is then "terrorism" – is the most reprehensible and deplorable product of the most virulent and malicious miso-Judaism. Each reader must become vigilant to notice and register offense with the offending media, making the point that, for all of the reasons given herein (including the sister articles, Parts 1-7 in our Archives section) that these lands are in dispute, Israeli ownership has never been superseded (certainly not by Roman "occupation"! or the intervening denial of the entire principle of land ownership by nomadic Arab squatters between 135 C.E. and 1948). Israel cannot be “presumed” by the media to be Arab land or “Israeli-occupied.”
It becomes, then, the Israelis who are defending and resisting against Arabs who cross our border from established Arab positions to stage attacks, aggression and guerrilla invasions across disputed land to commit horrific terrorist atrocities in established Israeli land.
Which party is the occupier is a matter of dispute not to be altered or presumed by the media. Failure to report news objectively and factually is unprofessional, unethical, irresponsible and a primary cause of continuing 'Palestinian' terrorist atrocities against Israel and Jews.
