UN

2003.02.16 – It isn't enough that, until 2000 (2001?), Israel was barred from every committee in the UN and, therefore, lacked the voice enjoyed by all of the other nations. Libya (!!!) was elected to chair the U.N. Commission on Human Rights (33-3)!!! The U.N. Disarmament Conference has been chaired by Iraqand co-chaired by Iran!!! The Washington Post columnist, Charles Krauthammer, correctly described such U.N. antics as "Orwellian".

Meanwhile, every United Nations vote concerning Israel starts off with the cards stacked: a Goliath of 22 Arab Muslim countries plus 55 other Muslim countries unalterably aligned against the Judaic state of King David, with only Micronesia and the Marshall Islands as reliable—not even the U.S. is reliable—support. Thus, every UN vote concerning Israel starts with a 74 vote margin against the existence of the Judaic state in the Middle East, irrespective of any facts. By definition, the UN is miso-Judaic from top to the bottom of its deepest root—the phony post-WW-I UK-France figleaf (lacking the U.S., Russia and Germany) calling itself the "League of Nations".

The UN is based on democratic principles applied internationally. Democracy depends for its existence upon the responsibility of its citizens and their willingness to fight for it. Most delegates to the UN are intractably against democratic values in the first place!!!

Before the UN, international problems were resolved through ad hoc alliances. After the UN, ad hoc alliances, improved by the Internet and other global connections, will once again solve international problems – more efficiently than the UN ever did, and historians will look upon the League of Nations, along with its UN hatchling, as democracy's ultimate sophomoric follies.

The UN is an anchor around the necks of America, Israel, and Britain; and is an obstacle to just peace and stability in the world. Mr. Krauthammer properly concludes, "Having proved itself impotent in the Balkan crisis and now again in the Iraq crisis, the United Nations will sink once again into irrelevance. This time it will not recover. And the world will be better off for it" (loc. cit.).
