How You Can Help Israel

2001.08.10 – "…Also, we have been keeping up with the events in Israel, and hurt terribly for the plight of the Israelis. We keep you all in our prayers and wish there was more we knew to do from way over here." (Herman & Geana Henkes, Wetumpka, AL, USA)

The current war that Israel is fighting isn’t waged solely here on the ground with aircraft, tanks and soldiers. We wage war – including an internet PR cyberwar waged by living-room, armchair blog-warriors – that's you, and where you can help most (update: see also my related articles in "Times of Israel": Blog-Warrior "No Shows", Gaza: The End Game and On Miso-Judaism: CNN, Analyze This!) – against an implacable and barbaric enemy while we are at the mercy – in the handcuffs – of world opinion. World opinion is tolerant of 'Palestinian' – Muslim Arab – atrocities while condemning Israel’s attempts to defend herself. Israel’s current war is being waged in the arena of international public opinion – in the living rooms of homes around the world, in your neighbors’ living rooms and in the living rooms of the citizens of your city and state. And it is there, in living rooms around the world, that you will win or lose this war.

In Israel’s previous battles, helping Israel meant either to come to Israel and volunteer for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF, Hebrew Tzah”l) or donate money to Israel to buy weapons and equip soldiers.

In today’s “Living Room War,” however, you – the reader – wherever in the world you live, are the front line. Your fighting – yes, you – will be a strong and meaningful determinant of the outcome, as well as define you – among the sheep or goats. You are (or you neglect to be) a soldier for Israel. All of you have seen me write, many times: when you pray, row for shore. Prayers without action are demonstrably devoid of faith (or the prayor would act on his or her prayers) and, therefore, vain.

Secularist Israeli leaders have been agonizingly slow to recognize that Israel is in, and has been losing by default, a world-wide PR war for world opinion concerning the right of Israel, and more specifically Judaism and Jews, to exist in Israel. The hype and money poured into the effort by Israel's leaders and supposed think-tanks has made no appreciable dent in anti-Israel – miso-Judaic – world opinion, irrefutably demonstrating that Jews simply cannot grasp, cannot wrap their brains around, the miso-Judaic dynamics of non-Jewish world opinion. The most effective thing you can do to help Israel, in addition to reading the articles in our Web Café and completing our free on-line Kha•vᵊr•utâ (distance learning introductory course) to be the most effective, is monitor the media for anti-Israel bias and quote and cite these articles in your rebuttals.

The two greatest root causes of Israel’s plight today are [1] miso-Judaic world and media sentiment disguised as "anti-Israel" and [2] the comfort and abetment granted our enemy by liberal Jews – both in Israeli and in the Diaspora.

It’s been possible over the past few months to make the point that the media has no right to determine sovereignty by begging the question of “occupation.” But we need voices to reinforce that truth with repetition. International media, reporters, journalists and others have recognized the logic of our position and the use of this term has almost disappeared. (We still must be vigilant for it, however.) Only two elements have refused to stop begging this question: [1] the Palebanis, whom we’d expect to continue propagandizing and [2] liberal Jews. It’s time that certain statements by leftist and liberal Jews were called what they are: treason. When leftist or liberal Jews state that Israel is an occupying power, that’s treason every bit as much as an Arab Israeli MK (member of K’nesset) siding with our enemy. We call on the Israeli government to pass, and enforce (identically against Israeli Arabs and Israeli Jews), stiff laws comparable to those of the US against treason.

Yet, not all leftist or liberal Jews are guilty of treason. A McCarthy-like anti-Left or anti-Liberal extreme position would do harm, not good. Not all demonstrations by leftist or liberal Jews should be regarded as treasonous. All Jews want peace. Leftist and Liberal Jews have no monopoly on it (though they like to deceive the world into thinking so). However, whenever any Jew or Israeli citizen sides with our enemy in opposition to the Israeli government concerning vital Israeli interests that constitutes treason.

Avoid being crude, but don’t be timid, or intimidated, against speaking out in the most forceful terms against leftist Jews who commit treason by siding with our enemy. Those who side with our enemy are our enemy, regardless of their race or ethnicity. It was such who were the worst scourge of the Holocaust, acting as camp guards for the Nazis, and it was such who caused the destruction of both Bât•ei ha-Mi•qᵊdâsh (Hellenized to “Temples”) as well as the demise of our nation in 135 C.E.

Where you can be a most effective soldier for Israel, of course, is in fighting anti-Israel bias in the media in your area, where you live and reach out to other countries that speak your language(s).

The most flagrant examples to watch for are reporters' and journalists' use of the following terms:

  1. Israeli "occupation" (all forms of the word, "occupied lands," etc.) This seemingly harmless term may be the most insidious and perverse inaccurate presumption of all. If media can get "occupation" by their audience, then "resistance" is justified – meaning Muslim atrocities are no longer "terror" because they are merely "resisting" the "occupier" and the "terror" is committed by the "occupier." A complete and perverse reversal of terrorist attacker and victim is achieved by Muslim Arabs by merely getting you to not notice anything wrong with "occupation"!!! The land is disputed. In fact, Israel has both the most ancient, and the only documented, sovereignty (see my Web Café Archived articles cited earlier). The media has no authority to award sovereignty by begging the question of "occupation", which is a logical fallacy (petitio principi) – miso-Judaic and unprofessional.

  2. "Assassinations", "targeted killings" or “interceptions” – Insist that reporters use the more accurate phrase: "interdictive defense." This is no different from the US’ missile defense initiative, interdicting incoming attacks.

  3. Equating interdictive defense with targeting civilian women and children in pizza parlors and teen night clubs, drive-by shootings or fire-bombing of families in cars, suicide bombers, etc. Six strikes or killings of terrorists doesn’t equal six terrorist killings of innocent victims. The phrase “tit-for-tat” is an immoral travesty – and enabled by permitting reporters and broadcasters to get away with presuming "the occupation".

  4. It is the standard military doctrine of the Paleban to routinely deliberately place women and children in harm's way; as human shields and, sometimes, even killed elsewhere in an auto accident or deliberately sacrificed like al-Dura. It is obscene for reporters or broadcasters to equate the deaths of women and children that Kham''âs deliberately place in harm's way with Kham''âs' deliberate decades of targeting and killing of civilian women, children and elderly in pizza parlors and teen night clubs, drive-by shootings of families in cars, suicide bombers, etc. The killing of one child stone-thrower attacking soldiers at a checkpoint and shielding Palestinian snipers, hit by unidentified crossfire (which could even have been accidental Palestinian fire), doesn’t equate to a family or group of teen-age girls driving home from a social event at night being shot to death by drive-by terrorists or yᵊshiv•âh students hitchhiking home from school being kidnapped and executed. The phrase “tit-for-tat” is an immoral travesty.

  5. Clearly miso-Judaic reporting: interviewing solely any handy angry 'Palestinian' bystanders and treating their rants as gospel – assuming "everybody knows the Israeli Jews do such evil things" – with no fact-checking; or cutting Israeli representatives short while allowing 'Palestinian' representatives to speak freely; or reporters questioning 'Palestinians' sympathetically contrasted against grilling ("evil") Israeli Jews antagonistically, etc. These are not journalists reporting the facts (news); they are collaborators with Muslim terrorist propagandists and should be called out as such! If you lack the courage to call them out, then you will answer for that in the Great Day of Judgment.

To do this you need to monitor and routinely tape the news and interviews – rotating channels – so that you can quote exactly, be sure to note the exact broadcast times and reporter’s name, and exact information and details. You can't listen exclusively to news you like to hear. Probably contrary to your usual habit, you now need to look for the "news" you don't like to hear. And don't procrastinate; timeliness is a top priority while people are reading the offending material and thinking about it.

All media is more attentive when the complaint is local and when it is personal. For these reasons, my response wouldn’t be anywhere near as effective as you responding. You are the only one who can do your part!

Today’s soldiers for Israel around the world must monitor all of the TV channels and newspapers in their local area (city and state), as well as national TV networks and national magazines, writing letters of complaint so that you can be an effective living-room, armchair blog-warrior fighting Israel’s present war. You will help determine whether the US, Europe and the UN allow Israel to defend her right to exist in her historic homeland! In this way, you will have a significant role in helping, or not helping, Israel fight the toughest battle of all: the battle for international support of the justness of our right to live safely in our historic native land. Accountability is to é‑‑ä.

When you pray, fight! If you’re not willing to fight, don’t offer hypocritical – vain – prayers (Mi•shᵊl•ei Shᵊlomoh 28.9). Join us now in this critical fight for Yi•sᵊr•â•eil and Yᵊru•shâ•layim (Tᵊhil•im 137.5).
