Plagiarism & Slander by R. Chaim Ben-Tsur and www.chayas.com

I haven't received the Jewish catalogs yet. The Parkes copy is used. I contacted the American Yemenite suggested in your store for the prayer books… this is what he said about Netzarim:

Chaim Ben-Tsur
Executive Director

p.s By the way, Netzarim is not a Jewish organization. I think that they are Christians. One thing is for sure: I have no connections with them nor that I ask/allow them to refer people to our Association. (JeanH, Martinsburg, WV USA)

I'm not surprised at his slander. He is associated with a website (www.chayos.com; his association with that website is documented at www.bikurcholimcc.org/directory.php) that has plagiarized my published works for years just like a number of Christian sites have done. (See, for example, their definitions of geir, geir toshav and geir tzedeq.) I'm not the only one the site has plagiarized. The website also pirated Yemenite music. When I requested that the site either credit the Netzarim or remove the plagiarism things soured. Recently, I discovered they were pirating Yemenite music that is copyrighted to me personally, giving it away, and Yemenite chanting of Torah that is copyrighted to Aharon Amram. I checked with Aharon's son and he indicated that he wasn't aware of the site apparently giving away his music either. I threatened to take legal action if they didn't remove it from the site. (The Amrams may also have threatened legal action after I informed them of that site's piracy of their music.) I can't find the music now, so I guess they've finally removed it.

Such fraudulent practices contradict the website's claims of being Torâh-compliant Teimânim.

I don't know whether he isn't in contact with the Beit ha-Kenësët ha-Teimâni here in Ra·ananâ(h), whether he refuses to deal with reality or whether he is simply vindictive because I threatened a lawsuit if the website didn't stop pirating Teimâni music without the knowledge of the chanters, (to one of which I have the copyright, so I know it was pirated) and plagiarizing a lot of my other copyrighted work. The site still plagiarizes some of my copyrighted work without giving me credit. The website manager no longer identifies himself, I notice.

As far as I'm concerned, the American association is strictly a bookstore that offers Teimâni books that I can't ship singly from here as cheaply as they can by acquiring in some volume and shipping from there.

It's a shame that a person who professes the desire to bring the Teimâni together is, instead, negligently divisive.
