This is the Sha•bât following the 9th of Fifthmonth (Tish•a bᵊ-Av). Na•kham•u derives from the first word of the Ha•phᵊtâr•âh: Yᵊsha•yâhu 40.1.

The Ha•phᵊtâr•âh for this special Sha•bât takes precedence over the regular Ha•phᵊtâr•âh for the ordinary pâ•râsh•at sha•vua.

The Ha•phᵊtâr•at Tei•mân•it for this special Sha•bât is Yᵊsha•yâhu 40.1-26 & 41.17, not the Sᵊphâ•râd•it and Ash•kᵊnazit Yᵊsha•yâhu 40.1-26.

Pâ•suq 40.1 with pâ•suq 3:

The passage "Console! Console My kindred!" immediately precedes a passage that is better known in Christian circles than in Judaism. The connection between these two passages is largely unknown to either community:

"A voice calls ba-Mi•dᵊbar, 'Clear the Way of é‑‑ä; straighten in the A•râv•âh, a road for our Ël•oh•im."

This pâ•suq demarcates, thereby bridging and connecting, the end of the "time of the gentiles" "trodding Yᵊru•shâ•layim" (135 C.E. to 1967, parts still occupied by Arabs and Christians) to (pâ•suq 5) the impending revelation of the Kâ•vod é‑‑ä — the Mâ•shiakh.

The Ha•phᵊtâr•âh begins:

ðÇçÂîåÌ ðÇçÂîåÌ òÇîÌÄé;

40.3 — "A voice calls ba-Mi•dᵊbar, 'Face ãÌÆøÆêÀ é‑‑ä, grade a road in the A•râv•âh for our Ël•oh•im.' "

This call to "face" ãÌÆøÆêÀ é‑‑ä implies a "turn to face" ãÌÆøÆêÀ é‑‑ä. Otherwise, how would one obey a command to "face ãÌÆøÆêÀ é‑‑ä" if they are already doing so? Therefore, this is a call to the transgressor of Tor•âh to make tᵊshuv•âh.

Why, in The Nᵊtzârim Reconstruction of Hebrew Matitᵊyâhu (NHM, in English) 11.10, did Ribi Yᵊho•shua Bën-Yo•seiph Bën-Dâ•wid associate this call to tᵊshuv•âh by Yō•khâ•nân 'ha-Ma•tᵊbil' Bën-Zᵊkhar•yâh Bën-Tzâ•dōq ha-Kō•hein, with Ma•lâkh•i ha-Nâ•vi 3.24 ("Behold, I will send you Eil•i•yâhu before the coming of the great and awesome day of é‑‑ä")?

At least one key is found in this Ha•phᵊtâr•âh, pâ•suq 40.2: "Speak to the heart of Yᵊru•shâ•layim, åÀ÷ÄøÀàåÌ àÅìÆéäÈ"

In Hebrew, before the vowels were added, this pâ•suq could also be read — and it's clear that this passage was understood, at least by allusion — åÀ÷ÄøÀàåÌ àÅìÄéÌÈäåÌ (and you masc. pl. [men of Yᵊru•shâ•layim] call [him] àÅìÄéÌÈäåÌ!
