The Chosen People: Misojudaism (Antisemitism) versus the Hebrew Bible

There are two primary reasons that, for 4,000 years, the idea of "The Chosen People" has been, and remains, the primary cause of misojudaism (antisemitism). These two primary reasons are, in reverse order of causation:

  1. The goy•imꞋ  (Christians, Muslims and others) don't understand the Biblical concept of "Chosen People" and

  2. Jews compound the problem by failing to understand the Biblical concept of "Chosen People" / "Chosen Seed" – åÇéÌÄáÀçÇø áÌÀæÇøÀòÈí àÇçÂøÅéäÆí ." (and He has chosen their seed after them, see, inter alia, Dᵊvâr•imꞋ  4.27; 7.7-8 and 10.15).

The Biblical verb stem meaning to choose or select is áÌÈçÇø. The noun form from this same stem is áÌÈçÄéø.

Teaching the genetic racist definition of "Jew" championed by Hitler, Jews today contradict the clear and explicit definition of this phrase, consistent in every instance of Scripture, set forth in Nᵊkhëm•yâhꞋ  9.7-8:

You are He, é--ä the Ël•oh•imꞋ , Who chose Av•râmꞋ , having enabled his exodus from Ur of the Ka•sƏd•imꞋ ; and You placed his name Av•râ•hâmꞋ . And You found his heart trusting before You, and cut with him the bᵊrit, to give to his seed the land of the Kᵊna•an•iꞋ , Khit•iꞋ , Ë•mor•iꞋ , PƏriz•iꞋ , YꞋ vus•iꞋ  and Gir•gâsh•iꞋ ; and You established Your Dᵊvâr•imꞋ  because You are Tza•diqꞋ .

The question has ever since been disputed: who is "His seed"? The answer is identically defined in Dᵊvâr•imꞋ  4.37: "because He loved your forefathers." And why did He love the forefathers of Yi•sᵊ•râ•eilꞋ : because He "found his heart trusting"; i.e., they sought out, accepted and shouldered the bᵊrit. So, who are the heirs of the bᵊrit? Those who accept and shoulder the bᵊrit!!! Or, lᵊ-hav•dilꞋ , do you imagine a racist god referring to genetic seed like Hitler defined?

The rabbis answer: "both"!!! Many rabbis define "Jew" according to genetic-racist "seed" (born of a Jewish mother) well, maybe plus (and increasingly excluding), sort-of an inferior "convert" proselyte who is less than a Jew and can be invalidated and expelled as a gentile at any time, even posthumously. This blatant contradiction of Scripture is the cause of antisemitism / misojudaism. Yet, the rabbis and other Jews won't give up the racist – and anti-Scriptural – definition, admitting seculars and atheists as "Jews" while denying many who accept the bᵊrit.

The "Chosen Seed" are only those who do their utmost to follow Tor•âhꞋ  according to logical Ha•lâkh•âhꞋ  – and are found almost entirely and exclusively within the Jewish community. (To be clear, by definition this excludes Christians and Muslims.) However, when "Jews" who willfully reject or neglect Tor•âhꞋ  insist that they are Jews they have only the racist definition to cite and, therefore, are rightfully seen to be arrogantly presuming to be the "chosen" – the people of é--ä or the Bible – simply because they carry a Middle-eastern gene.

When rabbis corroborate the genetic claim, they contradict Tor•âhꞋ  –which "loves Yi•sᵊ•râ•eilꞋ " and "hates Ei•sauꞋ  (twins, both born of the same "Jewish" mother). Further, they presume defining authority above Scripture to "proclaim proclamations ìÀöÇã the Supreme-One," for which see Dâniy•eilꞋ  7.25. Such "Jews," including any rabbis who subscribe to the racist-genetic definition, are racists who are contradicting the bᵊrit (Scripture = Tor•âhꞋ  = logical Ha•lâkh•âhꞋ ) and are, therefore, guilty of khi•lulꞋ  é--ä. Further, they blatantly are blaspheming é--ä by implying that He, lᵊ-hav•dilꞋ , is racist!!!

Those who criticize a racist definition of "the chosen people" – a blasphemy that implies a racist god – are Scripturally right, not antisemitic!

There is also misojudaism in Christianity and Islam deriving from Displacement Theology, but the only solution to the antisemitism described in this article is to accept the Biblical definition of Jew: one who does his or her utmost to accept and shoulder the bᵊrit; i.e., to keep Tor•âhꞋ , non-selectively according to logical Ha•lâkh•âhꞋ . No person who fails to meet this standard is a Jew (whether born of a Jewish mother or converted) and no who meets this standard can be denied entry into the bᵊrit. Any rabbi, Christian or Muslim who presumes to add to this violates Tor•âhꞋ  (Dᵊvâr•imꞋ  13.1-6).
