שלום פקיד ירמיהו הצדיק

‘Who Are the Netzarim?’ has been invaluable to my walk with ה׳ in that it is the first place in which I was given the information concerning the historical role of תורה שבעל פה. Before reading, ‘Who Are the Netzarim?’ I had no concept as to why תורה שבעל פה was so important. This book solidified for me the needfulness of תורה שבעל פה and its unity with תורה שבכתב.

To make this even better, WAN-AL has provided a logical explanation concerning the dispute over how משפטים and חקים were to be communicated to all of ישראל as well as clarify that there was no dispute over whether or not הלכה should be observed and gives undeniable proof thanks to DSS 4QMMT that at no time in Jewish history was there ever a question in regards to the validity of הלכה, only a question among the pseudo צדוקים of whether it should remain orally transmitted or if it should be codified.

My absolute favorite thing about this book was learning about the בית דין system. תורה never came alive to me as much as it did when I could see it not only as a moral code but also a civil justice system, an ethics system and a comprehensive communal guidance system. For the first time I am seeing תורה in the fullness of its design. I can only imagine how special the nation of ישראל must have felt when they received this perfect gift and demonstration of love toward them!

תודה for an excellent review. I'm gratified to learn that you benefitted from it so. חנוכה סמח and keep up the great work.
